Emily Scott is the General Manager of Waverley Council, a dynamic local government authority serving the iconic Eastern Suburbs of Sydney. Emily has over 20 years of experience working in the local government sector, holding a diverse range of roles across the sustainability, waste management, asset management, operations, major projects, and community programs areas.

Emily is known for driving transformational change and an ambitious policy agenda for local government, recently receiving the 2024 Ministers’ Award for Women in Local Government Champion of Change Award. With her deep understanding of the complexities and operations of local government, Emily is passionate about fostering strong community relationships and ensuring alignment of strategic planning with community needs and council priorities.
