The City of Greater Bendigo experienced these challenges and the lack of consistency between the approach as well as look and feel of systems made it difficult to train and support staff leading to high levels of frustration. On an operational level Council kept meeting continuous hurdles when it came to reporting and found it challenging to efficiently deliver to executive requirements. The spreadsheets, multiple systems and most importantly data needed to be consolidated into one framework. The main aim – making strategic decision-making seamless and stress-free. Key learnings for the session include: • Recognising the challenge and risk of having disparate systems or no system at all • How to engage staff to embrace change management and implementation • The importance of data integrity and SMART Actions
