AI Prompt Engineering

About

As the use of AI tools increases, so must our knowledge and sophistication for how we use them.  We have all heard the saying 'rubbish in, rubbish out', how then can we better tailor our AI prompts to improve the quality and the usefulness of the AI's returned result.

In this session we will explore the various returned results we look for including reports, summaries and graphics, including which tools are beneficial for which projects.  We will also explore best practice when using AI tools.

Topics include:

  • Structure for effective prompts
  • Challenges with too much or too little information
  • Reverse engineering prompts
  • Understanding the importance of language
  • Assign a role to the AI
  • Modifiers and parameters for better outputs
  • Prompt priming and other techniques
